Paging Service
The Blahaj Cloud paging service provides an all-in-one solution including pager hardware, cellular connectivity and an API to trigger notifications on a dedicated device.
The service is currently available in Europe only and is in private beta. The current pager hardware does not support LTE bands commonly used outside of Europe.
Hardware
The paging service uses custom hardware designed by Blahaj Studio. The device features:
- A 1.54" OLED display to display messages, the cell provider and the battery level
- A loud beeper to alert the user to new messages
- A 2150 mAh battery (roughly 2 days of use)
- An acknowledgement / reverse page button to send a notification back to the API
- 2G and 4G cellular connectivity
- USB C for charging and updating the device firmware
- A Common Criteria EAL6+ certified secure element for secure message encryption and reverse page authentication
The device contains components export controlled under US and EU legislation. It may not be re-sold or transferred to anyone except for the intended end user.
Connectivity
Blahaj Cloud provides two cellular plans in cooperation with Telefonica. Both of these plans offer connectivity in the EU, Switzerland and the UK, however they differ in which networks the device can roam to.
The Europe Base plan provides connectivity in Telefonica's preferred roaming network in each country.
The Europe Plus plan offers a much wider range of roaming networks.

API
Messages can be sent to the pagers connected to ones Blahaj Cloud account via the Blahaj Cloud API.
In the future, it will also be possible to pre-encrypt messages so they cannot be read by Blahaj Cloud as well as to receive notifications and acknowledgements back from the pager via webhook.
